Use Transitional Window Film to reduce costs and improve your working environment

Maintaining the comfort of your employees is a business priority. For any business to flourish, it’s workers must be comfortable. An important consideration is their working environment, which transitional window film helps to improve.

Not enough light affects their morale, which leads to diminished output. A room that is too hot is uncomfortable, which can greatly reduce their effectiveness. Managing these two factors is normally a straight forward approach, install blinds and air conditioning. Unfortunately, whilst both of these solutions solve the direct problems, they create new ones.

The good thing about blinds is they block out the light, which is also the bad thing about blinds. On a bright day, the views which are valued by your workforce are cut out in order to manage the glare caused by the sun. They are forced to choose between being comfortable enough to work, and blocking out one of their most impactful and valued office perks.

Issues with air conditioning

Being able to quickly adjust the room temperature is invaluable in maintaining a comfortable working environment. This is especially true in a work space that is subject to large changes in temperature caused by the greenhouse effect of large windows.

Controlling this issue has largely been done quite effectively with air conditioning. The huge and debilitating upswing in temperature on a sunny day can be brought down by the press of a button, or even automatically. The problem has been solved, but for a price – high energy consumption, carbon emissions and associated costs.

A standard air conditioning unit has a power consumption of 3kW. Running for 1 hour will cost (with the current UK electricity rate) £0.53*, and by using it you will have emitted 1.1kg CO2e into the atmosphere.
