Using window film for privacy

As well as the huge benefits of reduced heat penetration and UV & IR ray blocking, there is the added advantage of using window film for privacy. Privacy is a human right. It is essential to autonomy and the protection of human dignity, serving as the foundation upon which many other human rights are built.

Maintain your privacy and views

On a bright day, you might want to protect your privacy, by reduce the glare coming through the windows. Usually this would mean closing the blinds or drawing the curtains, but not anymore. The tinting window film reacts with the sunlight every time the bright sun hits it, causing a tint that controls the glare and maintains a private interior.

The disadvantage of solely using blinds and curtains is you limit your options for natural light. On a bright and hot day, you lose your view entirely whilst trying to control the glare and room temperature. When coupled with a set of blinds or curtains, you improve your ability to let natural light in whilst preventing unwanted attention.

Another advantage of the transitional film is it works with no requirement for any input from humans or machines. It is entirely automatic, working every time the bright sun hits it.

Suitable for offices, public spaces, homes and vehicles, the application for using window film for privacy is vast.

Depending on the space, there is a demand for various levels of tinting.

The most popular grade of tint is the R70. It has the same level of ultraviolet radiation rejection as the other film (95%), but has a softer tint. This is most suitable for use in public spaces and offices.

The R70+ has a darker tint, offering greater privacy properties. It is more commonly used in spaces where the user wishes to diminish the natural light, but not use the darkest of grades.

Some users may desire a dark tint to prevent people seeing into the space and for aesthetics. This is most often car owners R75 is the perfect film for such an application. It is the darkest tint and has the greatest infrared ray rejection of 95%.
