Transitional Window Film for cars
The transitional window film for cars is fitted to the inside of the glass. When exposed to harmful UV radiation, the photochromic reaction takes effect, darkening the tint of the window, reducing the amount of UV radiation, heat and visible light penetrating the glass.
The advantage is that the tint appears when you need it, and diminishes when you do not. Tinting car windows is a popular solution to controlling glare in vehicles, but it can cause the rear of the car to be too dark at night. Now you can have the advantage of the protection from the sun’s harmful rays, whilst being able to see out of the car rear windows during darkness.
This is the only product on the market that can achieve this effect.
The protection from the harmful solar rays also helps control the bleaching effect on soft furnishings and natural materials. The Transitional Window Film for cars will cause the window glass to increase in temperature by about 3-5 degrees as the rejected energy passes back through it. This is safely within the glass limitations.
The process is entirely automatic, needing no external power or interaction for the tinting effect to happen. The film reacts to the harmful ultraviolet and infrared solar rays, it can activate during slightly overcast days, protecting the vehicle occupants when it isn’t obvious that the protection is needed.
It is applied to car windows in the same way as most other car films. It has a protective, anti scratch surface and is removable. The application does not damage the window and it can be properly removed leaving no trace or residue.
